M.I.L.K. program at Farmers Insurance booth
Posted on: July 31, 2005
Great Falls—Declared as the “first step in the Amber Alert” program, the Managing Information on Lost Kids (M.I.L.K.) Digital ID will be available to parents at the Farmers Insurance booth at the Montana State Fair from July 30 – Aug 6. Through this program, parents and caregivers can store a digital image as well as information regarding their child as a precaution in the event that their child was lost or kidnapped.

Aware of the importance of identifying and keeping updated records of children, Farmers Insurance partnered with M.I.L.K. “Over 2,000 children are reported missing every day, and 40 percent of the parents of a missing child cannot immediately supply a current picture of their child,” said Farmers Insurance District Manager Trina Knoche. “I want families in Montana to be prepared.”

At the Montana State Fair, Farmers Insurance will be handing out 50 Home Organizer programs each day to visitors of their booth. In addition to the M.I.L.K. Digital ID, the program, ordinarily valued at $40, also includes software that gives users the capability to store their home's valuables. Located in Family Living Park, the booth will also be answering important insurance and financial questions, distributing free popsicles, courtesy of the Udder Company, balloons and smaller child identification kits for fingerprinting.
