Imagery Concepts Launches Program to Promote Child Safety
Tulsa, Okla. - Imagery Concepts, LLC announces the involvement of MetLife® and the Microsoft MSN network of Internet Services® with the M.I.L.K. (Managing Information on Lost Kids) program. M.I.L.K. is a national child and Internet safety program developed to benefit the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and empower parents in the event of a child emergency situation.
To kick off the program, Imagery Concepts will host a press conference at the Doubletree at Warren Place, 61st and Yale Ave, in Tulsa on Tuesday, June 12, at 10:00 a.m. Scheduled speakers include First Lady of Oklahoma, Cathy Keating; President of MetLife, Jim Benson; and National Financial Services Manager of MSN at Microsoft Corp. ®, Jay Sampson. Ernie Allen, President and CEO of the NCMEC, will address the benefits of utilizing the latest technology to protect and educate families. Rebecca DeMauro, a missing children's advocate whose own child was abducted, will share her story and mission to educate the public on child safety issues. State officials, corporate sponsors, and local and national law enforcement representatives will also be present.
“This consortium not only assists the NCMEC in its efforts to safeguard children, but also provides document scanning and storage capabilities, which means that users would be able to keep a current photo of their child on file at all times,” Imagery Concepts President, Tom Quinn said.
Law enforcement officials nationwide are quick to point out that perhaps the single most effective element in recovering a missing child quickly is a current photo.
“Through the combined efforts of Imagery Concepts, MetLife® and MSN we hope to create a virtual dragnet between software users, law enforcement and the NCMEC,” stated Ernie Allen, Chairman of the NCMEC.
“It's great to be able to provide a total document imaging solution that links users to the NCMEC, helps them protect their families, and facilitates the marketing efforts of participating business, all at the same time,” Quinn added.
Imagery Concepts is the software development company behind the Home Organizer®, a document imaging system for personal use and FILE•PIC®, document imaging systems designed to organize small to medium-sized businesses.
MetLife® will be involved in the distribution of M.I.L.K. in conjunction with their Life Advice® program. MSN, the world's No. 1 Internet destination, is donating promotional advertising to M.I.L.K across its network.
